Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

We are experts in the packing and shipping of statuary for their safe arrival. Items are shipped via standard ground FEDEX parcel service or common freight carrier. Shipping prices are subject to change without notice. Please note that freight carrier will only do curb side delivery and will not bring the merchandise into your home or perform setup. Advanced delivery notice and lift gate services require additional fees and must be arranged prior to shipping your product. All products are shipped F.O.B. our warehouses and are shipped on the behalf of the customer. Orders to Hawaii and Alaska must be shipped by air, so you must pay the actual shipping costs. We do our best to estimate shipping delivery times, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND ORDERS OUTSIDE OF THE CONTINENTAL USA

theartofhistory.com, Inc. is happy to work with customers outside of the continental USA. A $20 special handling fee will be added to all international orders. Shipping international orders via US Postal Service requires additional fees and cannot usually be tracked. Insurance is automatically charged, and it is important to note that in cases where the USPS does not offer insurance to specific destinations, theartofhistory.com cannot be liable should a damage occur during shipping. Broker and Customs fee, duties, tariffs, etc. are not the responsibility of theartofhistory.com, Inc. In the event theartofhistory.com, Inc. can determine these prices prior to shipping we will advise the client. In the event an item is returned due to failure of the client to pay these fees they are not refundable.

DELIVERY TIMES

In general, our items are made to order and not inventoried. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery of your order. In cases where your item is immediately available we will normally ship within a few days. Some items require longer production times and take longer to ship. You will be informed of such situations when they arise.

DAMAGE AND SHORTAGES

If an item is received damaged, you must notify us within 24 hours of receiving the package so that a claim may be processed. Report the damage to the delivery service driver if possible. Please hold the original packing materials and damaged merchandise for inspection otherwise no claim, replacement, or refund can be honored.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of your product, call us within 3 days to arrange for refund or exchange. You will be issued an RMA number to return the merchandise. For your protection, returned packages must be insured for the value of your merchandise. Repack items carefully in the original packing material and prepay and insure the shipping (Please note that you are responsible for the safe return of merchandise and for all shipping costs)

Customized merchandise in non-refundable. All returned items are subject to a 25% restocking fee. (International return orders will be charged a 50% restocking fee and the customer must pay for all shipping charges). Special Order items may be returned to us for a minimum restocking fee 50%. Shipping and handling are non-refundable. Special Order items are all those that we do not normally stock or those made or ordered specifically to fill your order. On sale items are not refundable. Please by all means if you have any questions about a product you would like to purchase call us so we may assist you and answer all your questions before ordering. Make sure the style, finish, and size of the piece will work for you before you order.
